Abstract
This study aims to analyze the standard criteria and indicators in halal tourism policies in Indonesia reviewed according to the Sharia Economic Review (Maqashid Syariah). This study was compiled using a qualitative descriptive analysis method. Data collection techniques were carried out by reviewing literature, normative rules (legislation) and searching for documented information from websites. This study uses a comparative study, namely a review of halal tourism policies in Indonesia. The selection of Indonesia is based on the fact that in 2019 Indonesia was ranked first in the world in the Global Muslim Traveler Index (GMTI) out of 130 tourist destination countries and is also a country that is a member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). This study uses standard references from GMTI regarding the criteria and indicators of halal tourism. Then, an analysis of sharia compliance is carried out based on the Quran and Hadith and a Review in terms of Sharia Economics. From this research, it was concluded that the standard criteria and indicators in the halal tourism policy in Indonesia contained in the laws and regulations have been in accordance with the principles of Islamic Economics and contain Maqashid Syariah above it.
